KaylaMemberWhen I took the miracle dog in to get her groomed at the amazing Canine Casa on Friday, (of course everyone knew about her) I mentioned I was looking for a forever home for her — since I had just recued her from a bad situation.
The groomers looked at each other and both said a name at the same time. By 2PM on Friday Loretta and puppy were in love. I got a report this morning that she is doing well, dressed in her little sweater, and her new name is FIFI.

hammerheadParticipantThat is awesome. Did you get her fixed yet?

KaylaMemberNo, they will take care of that.

KaylaMemberTo explains a bit more. I paid to get her out of the house she was in, paid for her grooming and made a donation to Missing Pets Partnership in honor of all the people who helped get her back. I didn’t charge the new owner anything for the dog and she will take care of whatever the dog needs now.

JoBParticipantgood for you to pay to get her out of a bad home.
i am never glad to hear any dog is named fifi :)
my pups have had japanese names.. and ancestry for some time now … you should hear what my family says about their names ;->
but am glad to hear she found a good home where she her new best friend cares enough to take very good care of her.

WSBKeymasterAwwww. Fifi was apparently a popular dog name way back when … my family had a toy poodle in my early childhood and that was its name.
So glad to hear the postscript to the story!

JanSParticipantthere is a coupon in the most recent ValPak for South Seattle Vet on 1st Ave. S at 110th. Dog spay is 69 bucks for under 30 lbs…a bargain. And a free first exam. Kayla , you might pass that on to the new owner. Expires on 4/30/2010.

KaylaMemberI think the FIFI comes from the hubby who is French. :-)
