We are a diverse group of progressive women that enjoy being with each other and discussing books. We read books that are mentally and spiritually enriching. One example of such is our recent dive into Braiding Sweet Grass, the author of which just received a McArthur grant.
We read books that are currently relevant, including but not limited to, books about race, indigenous people, and climate change. We like to intersperse our “deep” books with more fun books. We are working our way through the Louise Penny series for the sheer joy of excellent writing, character development, and plots.

We try to meet once a month for 1 ½ hours on Monday or Tuesday evenings.

If interested please send a brief description of yourself and why you want to join a book group to
    activistkmw AT hotmail Dot Com.

The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender
A great book that will provoke great conversation.
