WFMemberall the other major mayoral candidates paraded down california. where was mcginn? after lying about not fighting the tunnel to win the first term. he wasted city money and time fighting the tunnel that he said he would not fight? this liar does not deserve a second term
any of the 3-candidates that paraded down california today would be a huge improvement over mcginn

pgerdingMemberHe was there. He came by where we were seated along the route near the Swinery and introduced himself. Talked with him about Detroit and Seattle’s credit rating.

WSBKeymasterMust have been a cameo on the sidelines … he was not “in” the parade. I have the lineup and covered the entire thing; barely blinked the whole time. We had crews on both ends of the route. But someone did tweet this photo – :

And he tweeted this one. I note the honor guard in the background:

Thanks for mentioning, Pgerding. I have not yet written my “politicians” breakout but now can include this.
When the parade lineup was set by coordinators on Monday, Steinbrueck and Harrell were the only mayoral candidates who had their own entries. I suspected Murray would walk with the 34th District Democrats, since they endorsed him last month, and indeed he did.
We also had a Councilmember Sally Bagshaw sighting, though she wasn’t an official parade entrant.

Genesee HillParticipantMcGinn arrived in most West Seattle mailboxes today on the official primary ballot. Mine will be sent off tomorrow with his name checked. Go McGinn. Second term, please.

WFMembermcginn is the worst mayor the city has ever had since i was old enough to vote.
read today’s seattle times he’s now apposed to the whole foods project in west seattle because they do not treat their employees well. how can this be when they are ranked one of the top 100 companies to work for.
mcginn needs to go, he is divisive, lied to the voters to get elected in the first place and simply not been a good mayor.

WFMembermiws thank you for the link, the city has extensive public process set up for community input. a mayor micro-managing a local project IS NOT appropriate.

zero dacusParticipantHe must not have been too interested in facing the wrath of the Whole Foods fans in the junction. He made it as far as Manning, then left.

WFMemberi hope the voters reject him in round 1. any of the other 3 major candidates (Harrell, Steinbrueck, Murray; in no particular order) are far better.
