parentMemberOf those who have been, how would you rate it? Worth joining? Do they give you a deal after you take the free intro class?

hopeyParticipantMy stepson attended the 6-12 yr old boys class last week and really loved it, so we’ll be signing him up. They did not offer any additional discount for signing up, but considering that we got a free class without any obligation, for me that’s enough of a discount. The staff was attentive during the class, helping my stepson get past his “I can’t do it” attitude and turning it around for him so he had a great time.

jissyParticipantWas excited to see them opening…. my little one is in need of some social interaction with others her age, however I was quite surprised by the costs. Maybe I don’t have enough perspective on what kids’ activities cost, but it comes out to $17.00/class and the classes are only 45 min. Seems a little steep to me?? Love the concept and that it’s indoors, but a bit cost prohibitive for us, especially with 2!

coolmamaMemberWe went to a trial class. They don’t offer you a special deal, I had hoped that they would.
That said, the space was clean (well, it was brand new!) and the employees were amazing. The teachers in the gym were great and the woman at the front desk was very nice and answered all of our questions.
I really want to sign my daughter up but it’s quite a bit of money for the enrollment fee plus the cost for the class :(

jamminjMemberI was wondering why I couldn’t find any pricing on their website. Thanks for the info.
.
I’m sure they have costs to cover, but it sure seems hard to find affordable activities for the little ones when budget is limited.

goosefaceParticipantThe costs are similar to Kindermusik ($15-20 per session, also 45 min). Swim lessons at Y (non-member are quite a bit less – $8 per class, 30 minutes).
Check out the indoor gym programs at the community centers – Hiawatha, High Point – they have their schedules online. In the winter you can take kids there for $2 (I think) and they can play in the gym area for a couple of hours – tons of toys and equipment out for them to use. My kids have a blast! Not personalized attention like KM and Little Gym, but the price is right.

ahmomParticipantFYI: Kindermusik classes at Kenyon Hall with Lou are $10 per class. The materials (cd, books, musical instrument, etc) is $60 per 15 wk session. http://kenyonhall.org/INDEX/Kindermusik.html

bsmommaParticipantCheck out the Community Centers! My daughter does ballet at Highpoint CC. It’s $49 for each session which is 7 (consecutive) Tuesdays for 40-45 minutes. They have tumbling classes and all sorts of other fun stuff for kids! My daughter loves her teacher and we keep signing up for the next sessions!

carterbioseaMemberWe went to the Saturday class, and signed up. I liked that they are very safety conscious, and that they have a very flexible make-up policy. I would love to do the community center play hours, but those are usually during the week (I work full-time). It’s nice to have an indoor play option on the weekend.
