The Youth Tutoring Program (YTP), a program of Catholic Community Services, is an innovative and successful after-school educational enrichment program for vulnerable first through twelfth grade students who live in six low- and mixed-income housing communities in Seattle. Our High Point center is located directly in the housing community making YTP an essential component of each student’s community and home life. At the tutoring centers students build skills in reading and math, get help with homework, and strengthen their sense of self-esteem and self-respect. Coming primarily from immigrant and refugee families High Point students are wonderfully diverse, representing many nationalities, cultures, languages and religions. Unique among tutoring programs in Seattle, YTP provides large scale, one-to-one and group tutoring. There are many ways to become involved in YTP. Visit our website at http://www.ccsww.org/ytp to see the variety of volunteer experiences we offer. For additional information email VolunteerYTP@ccsww.org or call (206) 328-5970. School Year Tutoring at High Point starts September 19th, but volunteer applications are accepted throughout the school year. Start today to make a huge impact in a youth’s life!
