Has anyone else seen these things around/in there house? Am I suposed to report this to someone? I didn’t find any official reports of them being in Seattle. I did some research and I’m 98% sure they’re stink bugs. 2 different species so far. Uuuughhhh!

Yes–my daughter was making a “stink” about beetles in the house. I had never seen them before, but I have seen three so far. Weird.

I’ve seen a few brown ones in our house. And a couple black ones with a red spot on the back outside. I read that they are harmless and don’t “stink” unless they feel threatened or you squish them. I don’t know what to do?????

Are you positive they’re stink bugs and not soldier bugs? Soldier bugs are beneficial insects & I’ve noticed lots of them in recent weeks. Several different species. The usual preventative measures will keep them out of your house. Poison is almost always a bad idea, although I’m sure the folks who make a living at it would disagree.

I’m 98% sure. I’ve seen 2 different kinds that look just like 2 of the different species of stink bugs. Do soldier bugs fly? Because the ones I’ve seen either fly or move really fast!

Mine must have been soldier bugs, and we just escorted them outside. I don’t see them multiplying; I just saw them turn up for the first time. Of course, there are the legions of spiders everywhere…this weird weather!
