JeannieParticipantInfo from the King County Prosecutor’s office re the genius judge who lowered Hailey’s bail:
“Thank you for contacting the King County Prosecutor’s Office regarding State v. Skyelar Hailey. The defendant’s bail was lowered on 9/3/09 by Judge Palmer Robinson. Our office initially asked for $25,000 however the paperwork in the case is not yet in the electronic court records so I am unsure whether our office opposed that reduction or not.
You can find further information at http://www.kingcounty.gov/courts/Clerk.aspx through the Court Clerk’s website.”
I wonder how Judge Robinson would feel if someone violated his life by breaking into his home or vandalizing his property. Well, I will certainly remember Robinson’s name (as well as Judge Gain, who freed known criminal Isaiah Kalebu, who then went on to rape and murder Teresa Butz) when it’s time to vote. Hailey isn’t on the same level as Kalebu (yet), but he is still a menace to the public.
People tend to glaze over when it comes to voting for judges. It’s usually hard to know which are the good or inept ones. These two, Robinson and Gain, I WILL remember.

WSBKeymasterThanks for sharing your correspondence.
There is an additional document WRT the bail order in the ECR today but I am having trouble downloading it – it was erroneously coded. As I mentioned somewhere in the main section, we have just applied to upgrade our access to court records to a more expensive but more comprehensive online system that should enable more detailed reporting.
Meanwhile, he is still in jail. You can check the jail register online any time (we check it a few times a day, not just for notable cases like this but also because you can see who’s just been booked) at:

JeannieParticipantThank you for your great work as always, TR!
P.S. I don’t think anyone is about to hold a bake sale to raise money to release him.

IrukandjiParticipantDepends on your definition of ‘bake’. King County can keep him.
