We have lived near the south edge of Schmitz Park since pre-coyote days. We used to hear the coyotes inevitably start howling whenever a siren would go down Admiral toward Alki, but haven’t heard a peep in months. Are they still there? Have they become mute? My dog wonders too. He misses barking along with them at 3:00 am. We don’t.

I’ve not heard them in a while and I think it is because they roam. They are only a sometime thing, and more often in the dark of fall/winter.
