Just a reminder that if you have a dog or cat with anxiety issues around fireworks that now is the time to see your vet if you need sedatives or try some of these natural methods of working with anxiety. It is a hard time of year for those animals who are convinced the sky is exploding.

And please keep your animals inside on Wednesday!

I’m trying out the Thundershirt this year. I also have xanax (for both me and the dog!) If you must play with illegal fireworks, please limit to Wednesday only!

How ridiculous is it that law-abiding citizens have to drug their pets and hide indoors on a holiday in order to accommodate law-breaking scumbags?

JEM, good luck with the Thundershirt. It did nothing for my dog.

Calmes Forte is what I use for my pups and it works pretty well. Now if only I could convince my neighbors to not light off fireworks at 11am in the morning, like they did on Sunday.

Third night in a row of explosives going off until 2 a.m. Dog in a panic all night. No sleep for me, and must leave for work soon. NOT PLEASED.
