A couple of days ago I was near Lowman Beach and saw Stonehedge, a tree service/arborist company, with a load of mulch. I asked them if they gave it away, and they said that they did, and added my name to a list. This morning I got the call, and an incredibly polite and kind man came and dumped a giant truckload in my alley for me (and my friends – it’s a lot!) to use. He was very careful with my large flowering pink dogwood, which was in danger from the operation, and he made it all go smoothly without broken tree limbs.
This is a great business model. It’s recycling/reusing, it helped him from putting it in a landfill, and it will most definitely help my garden. The timeliness, politeness, and general professionalism were all just icing on the cake.
