Just stopped by this taco truck parked across from Home Depot. Having been sick for four days and all stuffed-up and coughing, I thought some good, spicy food might be the answer. I got the Quesadilla, and when I asked for no meat, the cook dropped the price. The food was really tasty and the two sauces provided added just the right amount of flavor and heat! I recommend you stop by and check it out.

I love Taco Trucks! I usually go to the ones in White center.

Just today, P-I food writer Rebekah Denn wrote “Fabulous Mexican food is not one of Seattle’s strong points”. How can that be possible with all the people of Mexcican descent who live and work here?

What do y’all think? Was she off writing that?

TVB – your timing is PERFECT. I drove by twice on Friday and wanted to remember to search WSB (there was some taco truck discussion a while back). I’ve never dined from anything on wheels, so I’m simultaneously cautious and afraid I might be missing out on something great!

Bikefir1…I think if you go to the regular Mexican restaurants around town that everyone goes to, i.e., Azteca, Guadalajara, Jalisco, etc, you are going to get watered down, Americanized Mexican food – what they think we want, not what they probably would serve in their homes…and that might be where her criticism comes from.

VBD…I’ve driven by there a couple of times and have wondered. There are a few of these trucks around that people swear by…I’ll have to visit :)

I think the one behind Pho Tai in white center is supposed to be a good one. Always has a line. The previous comments about the Home Depot truck were about it’s excellent food inspection reports and most people liked it. I have had a hit miss experience. First time was later in the day and it was pretty dried out, but I understood. Second time went earlier and it was decent. Convenient and fast. People are really nice too.

JT – how late is “later in the day” (so we can try earlier)

GHO, it was about 4-ish. Next time went closer to the noon hour. And I did enjoy the burrito. Didn’t mean to make the place sound blah. It’s really nice to have something to pull over for after a home depot trip.

I ate there in the evening (probably around 7:00) and the rice wasn’t so fresh but I expected that at the end of the day. I thought the flavors were great, the price was right, and the service friendly. My husband really likes this taco truck too.
