JulieMemberAnd if you’d like to vote for Nader, but you don’t want a “spoiled” election, you’ll be pleased to hear that the King County Council voted on Monday to have the Citizens’ Election Oversight Committee study Ranked Choice Voting (IRV). Now “all we have to do” is convince the committee it should go on the ballot for a vote! Better democracy can be ours.

GenHillOneParticipantGood to know, Julie. I’d be all for that. As it is, I’m too afraid of losing ANY votes that could keep McCain out of the white house.

JulieMemberbeachdrivegirl & GenHillOne, if you’d like to make the committee aware of your opinion, I’ll post the information as soon as I have it. At this point, the meeting schedules & agendas aren’t posted yet.

beachdrivegirlParticipantJulie,
I would very much appreciate it. In past elections I have been swayed to vote for third party candidates but in the end get discouraged because I feel like a vote for a third party candidate is vote against whomever would be the better of the mainstream candidates running. It is beyond discouraging. i also would be more than happy to help campaign if it is needed for the committee. Thank you again for sharing this information.
