We are looking for someone who can meet and execute our high standard of care and communication in every interaction with the dogs and humans in our PSP family of clients.

Job duties:

* Tailor every appointment to meet the physical activity needs and/or limitations of the dog
* Work on behavioral issues with Pupper clients using only humane, lure-reward based training methods
* Communicate with human clients using a tone that is professional and conveys warmth
* Change the world, one Pupper at a time.

Required skills and qualifications:

* Be available for at least 3-5 hours between 10am and 4pm, Monday through Friday
* Be comfortable standing and walking (occasionally up and down hills and stairs) for up to 4 hours at a time
* Meet the physical challenges of working with dogs that can lunge, pull, and jump
* Own a smartphone and display proficiency in using it
* Own a reliable motorized vehicle (car, scooter, or motorcycle) and have proof of insurance
* Have an attitude that always strives to improve performance and increase understanding of dog behavior and other areas of knowledge associated with the duties of the job

Salary:

Starts at $14-$16/hour, depending on experience
Most employees average 12-20 hours of work per week; individual hours will be determined by availability, flexibility in areas covered, overall proficiency in execution of the accountabilities of the job, and client demand.

Since 2010, Puget Sound Puppers has worked to become the gold standard for pet care in the Seattle area. We focus on individualized walks and training for our family of clients, while also giving our clients access to additional resources that can help them be better pet parents to their Puppers.

Important: You must be at least 18 years old, be able to work comfortably on your feet 4 hours at a time, be able to safely lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis, have daily, reliable access to your own vehicle with proof of car insurance, and own a smart phone capable of sending both email and text messages. All candidates will be asked to complete a separate application questionnaire.
