That would be very welcomed! The scales of justice balance again and the liberal abuse of power is getting corrected…
Power to the People who Work for a Living
Down with Union Mafia-style Thugs

MarkAngelloMemberI hear that the Sen Dems have until 4 pm to show up for work, otherwise the cops will be picking them up.
Yippee!! I read an article that the senate did this cleverly by issuing something like a supoena to each member. It is just like a federal senate investigation supoena. You have to come. You still have the right to remain silent. Only this time the order is aimed at the wayward dems. HeHe
And the cool thing is that if they don’t come in, they can be held in contempt of the senate, which, like contempt of court, is a misdemeanor and an arrestable offense. I like that.
Clever!

redblackParticipantmarkangello: you’re pretty vindictive for an acolyte of christ.
never mind.
you know that if labor succeeds in killing this moronic “budget repair” in wisconsin, everyone who earns a wage for a living will be saved from a corporate power grab. the poor won’t have to suffer state medicaid cuts. wisconsin can maintain their publicly-owned power supply. that bill is bad for everyone except a few at the top.
we’d prefer you just say, “thank you,” and keep your sycophancy to yourself.
then again, you don’t live in wisconsin.
or west seattle.

dawsonctParticipantPower to the people!!??!! Hey Mark, WTF do you think Unions ARE!?! It is called democracy in the workplace. What do you have against democracy or the rights of the American people to organize?
As unions have been destroyed and continue to be attacked by the oligarchs who control your mind, the standard of living has plummeted for the average American.
Your inability to see that is stunning (same to you Rich. In general, you seem fairly intelligent, but you ARE carrying the water for the hyper-wealthy who have NO loyalty to America or her citizens).
March 3, 2011 at 10:36 pm #717986
dawsonctParticipantAgain, for those who stand in defense of rich, corporatist oligarchs, TRY to understand this BASIC economic principle:
LABOR precedes CAPITAL.
The wealthy are wealthy NOT because they are somehow better than the rest of us. For the most part, they are wealthy because the inherited their fortunes and their positions of power.
Some slob sitting by the pool in Beverly Hills paying a maximum of 15% taxes on their trust-fund while trying to figure out which L.A. club to hang out at that night is doing VERY LITTLE to make America a better country for all her people.
—
The top 20% in our Nation control 85% of the wealth, the bottom 40% control 0.3% of the wealth.
From 1983 to 2007, the percentage of the National wealth controlled by the top 20% has increased from 80.3% to 85%, while the wealth of the bottom 80% has dropped to 15%. If you compare the figures for financial wealth (worth of all assets minus value of your home), the figures are even more astounding, at 93% to 7%.
At what point do they start to “trickle down” some of that wealth they have received from us?
Seriously, read this. I know these FACTS conflict mightily with your dearly held OPINIONS, but the people you are angry with are NOT the ones who created and perpetuate our Nation’s current crisis.

dawsonctParticipantSort of did at the beginning with the quote from ABRAHAM LINCOLN, who would not be a Republican if he were alive today.
LABOR precedes CAPITAL.
Econ 101, folks.
