anonymeParticipantThanks for posting this! I saw the blurb on the front page and immediately signed the petition. I hope it has an effect. Arbor Heights has received the shi++y end of the stick too many times when it comes to city services of all kinds, and these Metro service cuts are unfair and disproportionate.
I went to the library today, and had to walk most of one direction and all the way back. Not only was/is this a challenge with my very arthritic knees, but it will become impossible when the weather turns severe. I hate the idea of being cut off from the library – it’s my lifeline! But I refuse to spend several hours on 4 buses just to go a few miles north on 35th. Absolutely ridiculous. Not looking forward to the 5-6 hr., 6 bus round trip to see my doctor in Greenlake next week, either.

Talaki34ParticipantMaybe someone could call the local Houses of Worship and ask that this information be disseminated. They could do an announcement and put up a little sheet with all the info near the entrance to the building. Many now have email capability and could send out the info as a reminder.
Approaching this from a “Help the Community” rather than just looking at lost bus service might be a good path too.
Have you talked to those that belong to s://arborheights.nextdoor.com?
I would also ask for help from the surrounding Neighborhood Associations.

dapuffinParticipantI signed the petition. Funny how the way we’ve been screwed resulted in D&C lines. (sorry!)
