    Does anybody have any knowledge about what is making these bird-like sounds at all hours of the day and night? We live across from the water taxi, and we’re hearing what starts out sounding like a bird chirping but then morphs into a car alarm like shrill… Last night continuous from 3:00 AM till around 8:00 AM – we’re getting rummy from the odd hours and sounds, but really can’t figure out what in the world this is! Anybody?

    Could it be something to do with the sewer? Heard something like that when workers were checking for blockages, some sort of micro probe?

    Check your CO2 alarm. Mine did something like that right after it was installed and I had a terrible time identifying the source.

    Do we have mockingbirds here in Seattle? We had them back east, and they sang all night long outside my window, mimicking those car alarms that change alarm sounds every 10 seconds. It was absolutely maddening. I’ve heard them mimic the most amazing sounds from bicycle squeaking to train gate bells to fire truck alarms.

    http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/bald_eagle/sounds There’s an eagle nest in that vicinity. Wondered if they could be making the sounds you hear.
