I used to live in West Seattle. I have moved to Phoenix. But I found out about Waymo down here. I know people get irritated at traffic issues, whether they are Sound Transit related or the commute. In Chandler Arizona there is a driverless ride share company that has 600 vehicles, and I see Kirkland is a test site. This company, Waymo is owned by Google. I also see Tesla is looking at utilizing personal vehicles as rideshare option, because realistically, many people use their car maybe two hours per day. While they are at work and driverless options become a reality, It could be rented for many more hours and of course it is electric so zero carbon monoxide emissions. I drove Uber and Lyft which was great but the future is exciting and people are going to have to change their thinking. But, automation whether Amazon grocery without checkers or rideshare without drivers is going to lessen jobs in a variety of industries. I would advise people to start thinking about their future and jobs that still need people. Hoping you all survive the rain. Maybe I will see you in Peoria for Mariners Spring Training. Good Luck Seattle
