PDieterParticipantI need to till in this year’s compost to our smallish garden…to small to warrant a tiller rental. I propose trading use of my 2yrd heavy duty utility trailer to a fellow WS gardener with a tiller.

KevinParticipantIf your garden area is not too large, and the ground is not too hard, then consider a visit to White Center Tool Rental.
.
They have a fantastic little tiller that you can rent which will easily fit into the trunk of an average sedan.
.
The one they have is called a “Mantis” and it is a real workhorse! My wife and I rented one a few years back and it was so much fun to use, we ended up taking turns.
.
White Center Tool also has larger tillers for rent.

rockergirlMemberRented one of the Mantis tillers on friday from White Center Tool on Delridge Way (next to Cafe Rosella) and it worked awesome for tilling my garden beds and mixing in the garden compost mix I bought at E-Green Landscping (also on Delridge). Was nice to be able to get bagged garden mix and then swing by and pickup the tiller all in one easy trip. If you are in need of either a tiller or garden compost give these businesses a try – the guys who work there are awesome and local!
