SmittyParticipantOf course it is!
Now, it would have been better had USC had their starting QB, best wide receiver, and All-American safety playing, but come on – it’s SC and it’s a win for a very, very win-starved program!
Go Dogs!

dawsonctParticipantYou gots ta dance with the girl who brung you, Smitty! Every time USC loses to the UW, there are extenuating circumstances that made their loss inevitable like, “it was raining sideways,” or, “all I saw was purple,” or “is Steve Emtman lining up in our backfield?”

Well today, after those first two USC drives, they lost because the Huskies played better ball.

SmittyParticipantdawsinct – it’s a big win any way you look at it. It’s just that USC owned them during the first two drives on the ground – huge holes. Holt decided to stack the box and dare them to throw – and their backup QB proved that he couldn’t. Seriously, he was awful – and that kid I saw last week was the starter for a reason, obviously.
Throw in the best WR and Taylor Mays sitting on the sideline and it’s icing on the cake.
I think UW is on the right path – but with all the purple clothing being dug out of the bottom drawer this week (and I’m sure a few Rose Bowl mentions!) it’s going to be intolerable for some.
Let’s not get too excited over beating an injury-riddled team in a “let down game” is all.

SmittyParticipantOh, and I forgot – if you’re going to go all the way back to the early 90’s for “extenuating circumstances” then let’s never forget: “It was the snow”………

Fancy NanParticipantLooks like the Washington Puppies are crying again. Do these guys know how to play a game outside their stadium. Party’s over!
