Hello, I need to find someone to install a garage door opener. Any recommendations? Thank you!

It depends on if you want to pay for someone who is licensed, insured, and has references installing garage door openers in a bare garage or if you want to pay a college student with a few hours to replace a broken garage door opener with a similar-ish replacement that you’ve already bought.

I’ve replaced a few craftsman/sears openers over the years and it mostly came down to some basic tools, following an installation manual, and time on a ladder… it’s certainly a job I’d do some weekend for some extra spending cash.

I would also not have insurance or be bonded or have the ability to transport an 8 ft ladder to your home, so it’s entirely possible to be beyond a “weekend spending money” job.

I used Distribudoors a few times. I was happy with them.

I needed some help a few weeks ago and they actually talked me out of buying a new unit and helped me fix what I needed without them coming out. Great people.

Distribudoors! They were awesome when we moved into a new house and the garage door didn’t work.
