I am having a disagreement with my (wonderful) roofer. He put vents on my house that look unlike any I have ever seen. I have a one floor 1914 Craftsman Beach Bungalow. Do you have one too? Do you know where one is? Pass one every day? Please let me know where it is so I can either feel better about my own roof or I can use a photo of the roof you know to convince my roofer to move the vents on mine. Thanks so much. How about posting a pic or a link to one? Is it is smart vent? Is it a ridge vent? Standard square vent?

FYI, your wonderful roofer may not be so pleased to have to “move the vents”. Could turn into a very sticky wicket.

Here are a few good examples of how a hip roof could and probably should be vented well. If you have some old standard square vents, there’s no harm in keeping those as well.
