I talked about how terrified I was to go to the very first get-together in another thread.
One thing I didn’t mention in that story was that JoB, right after I introduced myself, gave me a big hug. She was the very first person I met and put me at ease right away.

genehsuParticipantI’ve been lurking on this forum for a few months, and I’d like to introduce myself and my wife to this community. We’ll be buying a home in West Seattle soon (fingers crossed) and thought it might be a good thing to meet some of the community members. We probably won’t be able to stop by until 6 at the soonest, though.

WSBKeymasterAs I’ve said before, while we intend for the discussion to be looser and maybe a little more acerbic here in the forum as it happens, than would be tolerated in comments on the rest of the site, nobody tells anyone to go whatever themselves, so I’ve deleted that. Again – I hope that everyone would remember how this entire Happy Hour get-together started. It was a chance for everyone who posts (or just reads), to come and interact in person.
A chance for people in the community to meet (there seem to be several new members – which is awesome) and people who have met, to reconnect.
If you have no desire to meet us, you probably just shouldn’t come. Here’s to hoping it is a Happy time!!!!

charlabobParticipantDon’t forget to check on the “Jan Jar” at BPP for donations — last I saw it was still there –(That was the JanS jar, btw. We could just have a generic Jan Jar for any Jan in trouble. :-)

It is a very casual bar with friendly servers, pool tables, board games. Cool place to hang!
