Construction Career Opportunity at Saltchuck Construction!

Saltchuck Construction is a small commercial & residential remodeling company based in West Seattle. Much of our work is in West Seattle, as well as Queen Anne. We’re looking for a hardworking & motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Driver / Expeditor!

This position offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in the construction industry, with potential for growth within our company. On the field side those roles could include journeyman carpenter, superintendent & on the office side, project management positions. We are a small company but growing quickly.

Responsibilities:

Jobsite Support: Maintain a clean and safe work environment (sweeping, debris removal), assist with material transportation, and potentially help with remote administrative tasks (if applicable).

Driving & Deliveries: Operate a company vehicle to pick up and deliver materials to job sites, ensuring safe and efficient transportation.

Warehouse Organization: Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure materials are readily accessible.

Teamwork & Communication: Collaborate with the lead carpenter and other team members to complete tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

Valid Washington State Driver’s License
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of construction principles a plus.
Able to lift and carry 80 pounds.

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive wages: +$20 per hour or more, depending on experience.
Full-time work schedule (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm).
