No, this isn’t specifically about West Seattle, but, in general, it IS about West Seattle, or at least it’s people. And many others, too. As we look around our forum, our local community, our country, our world at large, there is so much “contentiousness”, and here is a story of a man who wants to change that. It’s long, so if you only have a few minutes, maybe wait until you can “prop your feet up” and really listen…Bill Moyers continues to inspire me with his shows, his information.

this is the message that accompanied the e-mail that I received…”friends of mine… may we all unite and be the brothers and sisters we were destined to be, one to another. and then, reach out to others everywhere. find peace. give thanks through serving others in this season of “THANKSGIVING”. (its not “thanks taking” — its THANKS GIVING) love to you all.”

And, yes, there is power in music :)

    Thank you JanS

    Mark Johnson is an inspiration…

“In a world with all these divisions we need to focus on our connections”

    he did that through music…

“the only hope we have is to come together … while we are here lets us make a change for the better”

although his message is the one that resonated with voters in the United States this fall..

Mark has been pursuing his dream for 10 years…

Perhaps this election is a sign that the dreams of those like Mark are beginning to resonate with us all.

Please watch the video.. it just may make a difference in the way you view your neighbors…
