    Hello Everyone,

Our names are Grace Puffert and Mary Griffin and we’re seniors at Seattle Lutheran High School. Every year, each senior is required to create and execute a senior project that should in some way give back and benefit the community. We decided to have a community Fashion Show in order to raise money for Providence Mount Saint Vincent Nursing Home (Where we both are volunteers) here in West Seattle.

The theme of our fashion show is “Fashion through the Ages” (WORKING ON A BETTER TITLE!). Our hope is to exhibit clothing from each era beginning with 1900. So this is where you come in, if anyone would like to donate or lend clothing (era oriented) or their services to helping us put this show on, it would be GREATLY appreciated. We really would like to bring together the entire West Seattle community on this project. We hope to have the fashion show at some point in April, but a set date is yet to be made.

If any of you have any questions regarding the project or ways you can help, please contact Grace Puffert at: thatoneradgirl@comcast.net

    Any help would be wonderful!

    Thank you so much,

    Grace & Mary

    Hello Ladies,

I happen to have a casual dress my mother wore in the 40’s or 50’s-I’m guessing because it is quite tiny. Looks like something to wear to a dinner party. Lovely cut with a wide belt in a soft red. I’d say a size 0 or 2 by today’s standards. I would be willing to loan only for you show. PM me for more info.

    Good Luck!

I’d recommend talking with our local consignment stores: Funky Jane’s and Many Moons. Perhaps they will loan clothes in exchange for mention in your program.

Keep us posted on your project and good luck!

I have a full formal reproduction dress that I made for the Governers Inaguration in 1989, it was for the Centenial celebration. So if you want to fudge a big with authenticity and a 11 year early start, PM me. CB (hope I can find it!)
