Clearwire Signal Strength for Lowman Beach Area – ?

Someone recommended I try Clearwire for my internet provider. I’ve been using Speakeasy (now Megapath) for my DSL connection ever since moving to Seattle. But I can get a deal with Clearwire for a year.

I’ve heard mixed reviews on Clearwire signal strength and speed. Is this a good option for the area between Fauntleroy and Beach Drive? I’m near Lowman Beach Park, on the back side of a bluff, so may not be able to pick up the tower transmission, which I believe is east of Gatewood school, and also farther north, on California Ave.

Hope someone can give you some real world user input on this. I believe that in other threads I’ve read that Clearwire is iffy in a number of WS areas but not sure which specific ones.
