Ballot box in WS?

Well, I’ve done it: waited until the last day to vote. And just discovered the flag still up and ballots still in my mailbox. So, now I’m looking for a ballot box. Anyone know if there is one in West Seattle?

I took mine downtown. That box is seriously inconvenient. I don’t know why W. Seattle doesn’t have a box and was thinking I should write to K. County Elections with that question. I know they eliminated many boxes a couple years ago for cost savings but why does Ballard and Magnuson Park still have one. I think W. Seattle (or at least some part) is about the same distance from downtown as either of those locations.

Just for the heck of it I calculated the distances between the ballot boxes to downtown location and what would be a good location for a W. Seattle one.

Ballard to Downtown 6.0 mi

Magnuson Park 7.7 mi

In W. Seattle I thought either the Highpoint or Southwest Branch would be good locations.

Highpoint 5.7 mi

Southwest 7.7 mi

Both locations are fairly central in W. Seattle and have parking available.
