Any Interest in a Stacked Washer/Dryer

Posting to see if there’s even any interest out there. I moved into a new townhome in High Point last year that came with a brand new apartment sized (24″ wide) stacked washer/dryer (linked below). It’s the top loading style washer where the lid hooks onto the dryer above. I measured my closet and got a bonus this spring and decided I could upgrade to a full sized front loading set. Nothing wrong with the current set other than it’s a small capacity and I would prefer standard capacity machines. That said, if you’re in an older home, apartment or condo with a limited laundry space and require a 24″ set, this is a perfect unit and it does have some energy saving features such as auto load size detection for water level and auto-dry. All electric, needs 1 220v outlet.

I wasn’t really sure if there might be interest in this kind of machine used, I haven’t seen many on Craigslist. Home Depot sells it for around $1200 and I keep thinking there must be someone around here that might be interested in making a deal. It would be a shame to just have it hauled away for the upgraded set. A friend suggested if there wasn’t any interest I could probably donate it to the Salvation Army, not sure if they take anything like this though.

I don’t have any way of transporting it so if anyone happens to be interested they would have to haul it on their own.

Awesome! I didn’t expect so much interest! I was hoping if I go this route I’d be able to sell. I’ve seen some 24″ models on CL for $500-600 (new it’s $1100-1200). I’m willing to make a deal, my email is julia (dot)hanke (at) hotmail (dot)com

I need to call the appliance store today to see how soon I can arrange for the new set, but if someone would like to arrange something sooner I can get a few friends to help me move the unit down my stairs and to the garage where it could be picked up!
