ColoradojackMemberJust moved to Seattle and I miss my casual handicap bowling league back in Colorado. West Seattle looks like my kind of alley and I was hoping to see if anyone out there was interested in putting together a team or had a spot open in a casual league?
40 years old and married here but occasionally like to act like I’m not a responsible family man, career guy, etc. I’m nothing special bowling wise – about a 140 average. Looking for a weekly night out of the house and some laughs more than anything else.

hooper1961Memberdon’t worry about the 140 average in seattle the 200 average bowler will be required to give you 30 points to even the score.

ColoradojackMemberhooper – that’s why I want a handicap league. You bowl against your own average. That I can live with…

flowerpetalMemberWest Seattle Bowl has several leagues and is a great place to bowl. It being mid-season, it would be tough to join a league. A good way to get your foot in the door is to look at the leagues at WestSeattleBowl.com; choose one that looks interesting to you; and then show up at that time. At the desk you can offer yourself as a sub; and a team can take you on for one week or more. If you do that for several weeks; you will be remembered, make friends and probably find yourself on a team next fall. There are also short summer leagues too; which go for thirteen weeks, typically May through July.

JEMParticipantActually a bunch of the leagues at West Seattle Bowl are just starting up a new session the first week of January. Monday nights at 7 (warm ups at 6:45) there is a 9-pin league, which will make you feel like an even better bowler! The first night for next session is the 3rd, stopping by and becoming a sub is a great way to meet teams. There may be teams short a bowler who would snatch you right up!
