When I became Medicare “eligible” (a strange word to apply to something mandatory) I began looking for a primary care doc. Most do not accept Medicare, and those who do only do so on a limited basis. Never dreamed this would be such a nightmare. I’m having what I believe are TIA’s, with “hypertensive crisis”. Urgent care out of the question.

I know this post is a long shot, but I’m out of time, energy, and options. If anyone has a suggestion, I’d appreciate it.

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a Tot Sports Instructor at Hiawatha Community Center.

The classes are for ages 1.5 – 5 years old. The focus is to help build coordination, balance, and confidence while learning sports in a fun and encouraging atmosphere. Instructor is in charge of set-up, take down, and design of class. If equipment is needed the Instructor will need to let the Community Center Coordinator or Assistant Coordinator know right away what is needed.

There are 2 classes that the Instructor will teach: Parent/Child for ages 1.5 – 3 (parents must help with this class), and Tot Sports for ages 3 – 5.

Breitbart doesn’t pretend to be a balanced news source. They exist to counter the mainstream left-biased media lies with truthful facts, evidence and reason. With that said, Breitbart doesn’t often tell both sides of the story, so readers need to do there own investigation with multiple news sources to thoroughly understand some subjectively contentious issues. OUr EPA, National Parks System and renewable energy departments have been silenced..
That means that the National Parks System can’t effectively communicate if you get lost in their woods.. that the EPA can’t attend science conferences or publish research and that the renewable energy department has been told not to talk about their work in their personal emails.

i bet you thought all of those people downloading public science prior to the inauguration were silly.

the adds for Obamacare have been pulled even though everyone is still eligible for coverage this year.

The top officials at the State Department either walked out en-mass or were re-assigned to other duties or were purged.

Trump’s obsession with the Wall and his assertion that the Mexicans would pay for it has resulted in the cancellation of a state visit by the Mexican President and a Mexican standoff war of words that doesn’t bode well for the homeland Security projects we actually run in Mexico in conjunction with the Mexican government…

and the Voice of America is now run by the White House… yup.. the directors serve at the President’s pleasure… meanwhile our President is doing everything he can to silence the American press.

Those programs promoting small businesses.. cancelled for the most part…

and that’s just the short list. there is much much more.

As I refuse to get further drawn into these ridiculous political discussion here any longer…because they’re pointless due to preposterous and incoherent posts, I’ll say only this; there was no rampant violence. The Black Brigade was a vanishingly small sliver of far less than 1% of the protesters and at least 200 were rounded up. Again, hardly rampant violence.

The Donald has refuse to communicate, by and large, with the press unless it’s about the crowd size for his inauguration.

The Donald has shut down the ability for the departments of the Gov’t to communicate with America.

The Donald has begun the process to restrict the immigration of Muslims by restricting immigration from predominantly Muslim nations.

The Donald has appointed thoroughly unqualified persons for cabinet level positions, and persons who are diametrically opposed to the mission of those departments.

The investment decisions that the Donald is hogging the credit for, by GM and Ford and other large American corporations, to make further investment, here in the US, were already made long before his election.

The assertion by certain member of this board that us lefties “get used to it” is the same demand that is often made by others in totalitarian regimes. I will not pay one whit of attention to what Michael Savage (Weiner) or anyone else has to say, I prefer evidence based argument, not spittle drenched rage. Yes, I understand that is another thread Capt Dave, but I refuse to do this twice.

The twisting of behaviors and agendas of the fascists and socialists, to use the extreme and self serving definitions, by members of this august assembly is irritating and smacks of insincerity and an unwillingness to have an honest discussion, only an inflammatory one.

Fox, Breitbart, pundits of any stripe and the lot are not acceptable sources for actual data. Generally speaking, unless it’s followed by a .gov, .edu or a .org, it’s not a citable source. This is a common rule of thumb for research online and is just the first step. I left out whole raft of others and not restricted to the right. The left certainly has its counterparts.

For those of you who support the Donald you have elcted a man child who is spending a shocking amount of time worrying about his popularity, who has worked on dismantling the ACA (we also call that ObamaCare, I know that’s been a matter of confusion on your side of the aisle) and leaving more than 20M without insurance (remember that insurance is not healthcare, people) with no paln to do anything about this. The plan on dismantling the Social security Administration and Medicare, something that many of you have paid into your entire working lives, something that the boys in Congress have raided to the tune of trillions of dollars and is NOT a part of the General Fund and, hence, not able to incur deficit or debt.

We’ve not been in a position like this since the late 1920’s, with the “conservatives” being in control of the presidency, congress and a large number of states and Im sure we all recall what happened then. I’ll give you a hint, it starts with a D.

The concerns of the left are well founded as they are, often, supported on FACTS, of which there can be only one.

By the way, Clinton and Obama are the only president in living memory, or ever I think, that have ever reduced the deficit. Ever. That, my friends on the right, is a FACT!

these are elected, government officials. They have been given permission by the head guy to say these things by what he has said and done in the past. And this is not a one-off. This happens every day, over and over again, and has since I was a young woman. It is common in these United States of America…women live with it all their lives. Just go to social media..Reddit, Facebook…read what men say about women, post about women. My nephew and his friends make terrible jokes about women they don’t deem attractive enough. i don’t think we are as cleanly divided as it appears..

in the first place.. if only 60% of the people voted and Trump got less than half of those.. Trumps’s mandate stands at under 30% of the population… last i looked his approval ratings reflected that…

When you look at issues as opposed to political platforms.. most metrics find us far more united than divided… it’s only when you throw in the political buzzwords.. like obamacare that opinion divides… and suddenly there is an us who are entitled to freedom and equality and a them who should have to somehow earn it.

what has “the left” up in arms now is the lack of inclusion in those core principles of freedom and equality… until they include the words “for all” they have little meaning…

a fact which has been reflected in the opening salvos from both the Trump administration and the Republican leadership in the House and Senate.

i think it’s very easy to be all gentlemanly about this fight until you realize just how much skin you actually have in this fight… when your ethnic background.. your sex.. your sexual orientation… your immigration status .. increasingly your political status.. all mean that you don’t have the same rights as others the discussion becomes less academic.

In Washington DC this last weekend.. when some of the people who were demonstrating against the inauguration started breaking windows.. the DC police herded everyone on the street in the area into a holding group and charged all of them with felony rioting… even those sporting press credentials.

I hope the resulting litigation becomes so expensive for them that their example deters other police departments from doing the same.. but the current trend tells me that my hope is likely misplaced since the same tactic was used at standing rock and few of those charges have been dismissed.

i reject the idea that i should have to “fight nice” with people who think they not only have the right to tell me what i can and can’t do with my body but demand that i speak to them in a respectful way… because they won?

this isn’t a sporting event and those are my rights they are willing to sign away…
I refuse to put a smiley face on that.

and yes.. i remember what happened in the last similar election and what transpired after..
we are in for a bumpy ride .. but the fact is that we are in for a bumpy ride whether we go along and get along or not… if we do’t fight for ourselves there will be noone left to fight for those who couldn’t recognize their own best interests if they bit them in the proverbial behind…if we don’t fight now there won’t be a democracy left to fight for.
