sublimeParticipantAfter watching the mainstream media (abc/nbc/cbs, cnn & msnbc in particular) blather about how Mr. Obama is/was sooooo popular before and after the inauguration, it’s good to see it was all a lie (as usual of the media for many years now…). Was he popular at times? sure, like any president. In the end though, he was a failure in the eyes on many of your fellow americans.
The truth? He and his liberal policies were not sitting well with the simple majority of ‘american folks’ (shocking, I know for all you die hard Seattle progressives). Thus, the extension of Obama, Ms Clinton, LOST in the general election to the great benefit of the country moving forward!! The only ‘shocker’ here is that he scored above Carter.
Sorry, you can’t blame some ‘lame right wing’ polling company for the poll data… it comes from Gallup. I’m quite sure you won’t see this anytime soon on the nightly news.
Boo hoo. Time to move on my leftist neighbors. Gotta say, I’m thoroughly enjoying the first few days of Executive Orders rescinding the previous administrations’ corrupt policies and overreaching attempts to allow the federal government to control every aspect of our lives (while not protecting our borders and our unborn babies).
Read it and weep. Then move on.

captainDaveParticipantI don’t understand how Obama scored better than Carter? Obama had no lasting accomplishments other than ten trillion in debt used up to fake the economy, a bunch of communist revolutionary riots to lay claim to in the misleading name of “social justice”, and an improved golf game. Jimmy Carter was very happy to relinquish his position as the worst president in American History.

JayDeeParticipantConsider the source. Investor’s Business Daily would never support Obama and is a conservative rag suitable for bird cage lining.
And Cap’t Dave: Get your debt numbers straight–the budget deficit (and debt) has been decreasing since 2009. But wait, there’s more: Various estimates say that the Trump admin’s budget proposals will soar the national debt well past another 10 trillion. I guess the Republicans have been inoculated to debt spending post-election.

JoBParticipantsublime..
you picked the wrong night to irritate me..
you might ask yourself why you feel compelled to come on here and post this crap…
shouldn’t you be too busy celebrating the guy who won the election by repeatedly telling lies?January 27, 2017 at 7:40 pm #872007
captainDaveParticipantJayDee, Do you understand the difference between a running deficit and total debt? When you max out your credit card, your deficit goes to zero, but it doesn’t mean you got rid of any debt or interest that you owe.
Trump has proposed about a billion per year in infrastructure investment over the next ten years to make up for the scandalous deferred maintenance schemes of Obama. Obama used money that should have been available for infrastructure instead of buying votes with entitlments. The scam was supposed to keep the left in power indefinitely. Unfortunately for you lefties, it didn’t work.
JoB: It’s important to recognize where we have been in order to measure the progress we make into the future. You are witnessing an unprecedented takedown of the entire leftist establishment at 10x speed. The anticipated communist revolution is done–perhaps forever. I know this will be a tough thing to swallow for a lot of people here. I hope you lefties can expand your minds and investigate other lines of reasoning than the deep dark well you seem to be shouting out from.

JanSParticipantok…anyone joining the conversation…be advised that Capt. Dave is the only person on these forums that has the truth. If you lean to the center or left of center in your beliefs, be careful. He will belittle you and then set you straight, just like he did above with JayDee.
Other than that…I’m out of here.
Everyone have a good weekend..

JoBParticipantCaptain Dave..
You almost got one thing totally right
” You are witnessing an unprecedented takedown of the entire leftist establishment at 10x speed.”unfortunately.. to be entirely accurate you will have to replace the phrase leftist establishment with the word democracy…. ;(
don’t let your hatred blind you.

JoBParticipantCaptain Dave..
now.. shall we talk about entitlements?
can we start with the largest ones first.. those to companies with multi billion dollar profits?not that puny portion of our national treasury that goes to help keep those left behind alive.. because we don’t even keep them fed, clothed or housed.

JoBParticipantCaptain Dave..
i am in an ironical state of mind this morning so i am going to share with you what struck me this morning.. your use of the word commie…
isn’t it ironical that this president was elected with the propaganda assistance of a real life commie ?
why doesn’t that make you stop and think?
January 28, 2017 at 9:32 am #872060
JayDeeParticipantCaptain Dave: I am a not a liberal. But to use your inaccurate comparison of personal spending to governmental spending our problem is not spending more than we have it is not increasing taxes to support that spending. As a person, I cannot run a deficit. Governments can because they can print money to pay for it, and as the biggest dog, the U.S. can do so more than let’s say, Uganda. People believe the U.S. will honor its debt and buy T-Bills to support it. We should be raising taxes to meet our obligations, not increasing spending (Defense, Border Wall, Deportations, etc) without tax revenue. I am a country-club Republican: Keep your hands off my wallet, but what you do with your life is not my business (religion, abortion, bedroom). But even I recognize we need to match income with spending and given our low effective corporate and personal tax rates (Hello Carried Interest) we need more taxes.

captainDaveParticipantJoB: In the context of world history, how do you equate leftist ideology with sustainable democracy?
JayDee: Do you not understand that printing money out of thin air is not actually creating any wealth? It is just diluting your share. Massively inflating the money supply doesn’t make society richer–it just increases the proportionate size of government….and government doesn’t produce anything. I am glad you have the extra resources to pay more taxes for bigger government. Between rapidly accelerated property taxes, use taxes, income taxes, fees, permits, licenses, etc. etc. I am pretty tapped out–not much left over to invest in more productivity. People who advocate for more government are ignorant of reality across the country. You are what many refer to as a “RINO” Republican In Name Only. Enjoy your country club.

captainDaveParticipantJob: “isn’t it ironical that this president was elected with the propaganda assistance of a real life commie ?”
If true, It would seem to me to be a strategy to avoid nuclear war. How is revealing nefareous truths about Hillary and the DNC considered propaganda? On the other hand, how do you explain the hundreds of millions from muslim countries used to oppose Trump with false smears?
January 28, 2017 at 8:20 pm #872133
JoBParticipantcaptain dave..
you know i heard this same defense from hubby tonight…
of course his rant was against those democrats who are trying to push Russia into war…
but he is willing to overlook Russia’s fascist reality and you are willing to overlook their actual communist status in order to justify your knee jerk reactions based more on hatred than anything else…that puts you firmly in bed with a real communist my friend….
i think you should both watch out for bedbugs…January 29, 2017 at 12:04 am #872157
captainDaveParticipantJoB: Intolerance for leftist ideology in America perhaps? But that is based on logic, facts and evidence–not hate.
Why do you think it’s better not to have good relations with every country regardless of their political system? If you were in a lifeboat with ten other people of different nationalities and customs, it doesn’t mean you have to “go to bed” with any of them in order to communicate and agree on things. If one of them is an insane murderer, you will probably find it mutually beneficial to throw the troublemaker out of the boat, regardless of everyone else’s political affiliations. I agrees with my wife, so I sleep just fine.
The US did not become communist because it helped Stalin defeat Germany in WWII. ISIS needs to be decimated because Hillary and Obama let it get out of hand. The Russians can do nasty things we can’t to end the problem quickly. I am not saying they should, I am just saying the have a meaner dog as a deterrent.
I am also not saying that despotic forms of government are wrong for everyone. There are some societies on earth that just don’t have the aggregate mental capacity to survive as democracies without killing each other.
January 29, 2017 at 7:52 am #872180
JoBParticipantCaptain Dave…
i think it’s time you sit down with a history book.
you might try the history of World War II and then ask yourself if it was better to have a good working relationship with other countries at any cost… because that is what you are advocating..You commies! …. why can’t we all just get along?.. what does it matter that they are actually communists ..although sort of the fake kind these days.. more fascist than not… and you are just people i label communists so i can trash you…
at what point are you engaging that brain you say you are using to filter all of this crap?

captainDaveParticipantJoB: It is hilarious you lefties are so concerned about Trump’s alleged Russia connections when we had a communist in the white house for eight years. Did you think JFK was a “commie” when he had the Moscow hotline installed in the Oval Office after the Cuban Missile Crisis?
It looks like the only book you have been reading is Saul Alinsky’s rules for Radicals. I always get a good chuckle when lefties try to apply rule 11 ” Accuse your opponents of what you are guilty of yourself.”
January 29, 2017 at 8:13 pm #872237
JoBParticipantCaptain dave..
I wrote a paper in high school that asserted that the theory of Communism and Christianity of the New Testament had a great deal in common.. an admittedly radical idea in 1966. That paper is the only rational connection between the Christian who just served 8 years in the White House and Communism… something you should have already figured out.
January 30, 2017 at 12:00 am #872263
captainDaveParticipantJoB: …Lets not ignore Obama’s early influences under Frank Marshall Davis.
You can also say that the core family values is inherently communist in that kids grow up under a totalitarian dictatorship of parental oppression.
Let’s not soften and diffuse the meaning of the despotic marxist ambitions of global communism.
January 30, 2017 at 7:23 am #872278
JoBParticipantCaptain Dave..
explain to me how you can defend Putin’s interference in our Presidential election… gloss over Trump’s financial and personal ties to Putin and still accuse President Obama of “despotic marxist ambitions of global communism”.
the cognitive dissonance in that position is deafening.
then you can explain to me how it is that you equate labor organizers with communists?
i would say that i can hardly wait to hear how that one plays out but your last bout at dissonance is still ringing in my head so i think i will put the proverbial headache off as long as i can.
January 30, 2017 at 11:04 am #872293
captainDaveParticipantJoB: I don’t think any country should interfere in our elections. The Ukraine hacking for Hillary and Saudi Arabia’s massive funding of leftist fake news efforts against Trump should not have been happening either.
The unproven accusation of Russia making nefarious activities of the DNC public isn’t really interference because our own media should have been digging this stuff up and reporting it. The Russians are only being accused of exposing the truth, not fabrication lies–it is difficult for me to call that interference from a moral perspective.
Frank Marshal Davis also published a labor newspaper in Hawaii during the time of Obama’s mentorship which often advocated communist leanings. Why would you deny that labor organizations have long been associated with communism when there is so much evidence? I have a relative that was well known in Seattle during the 20’s and 30’s as a wobbly activist. The IWW was closely associated with the communist party in Washington during the 30’s.
I am not saying it’s bad in the context of history. Labor unions by nature are communal organizations that were needed to solve the abuses caused by anti-competitive government policy that helped create monopolies. However, Obama continued his learned socialist oppression of labor regulated free markets and distain for capitalism into the current era where it was not beneficial.
