I have been averaging 300-350 miles on a tank with all city driving. However, when I recently filled up at Roxbury Gasoline, I barely got over 200 miles to the tank! I thought I’d try it out because they were a few cents cheaper at the time but it was certainly not worth the supposed savings.
My usual route did not change at all, nor did my driving. As much as I have tried to rationalize another reason, I can’t find one other than inferior gasoline. Feel free to bust that bubble if you have other theories. I should also add that I filled up again (at Safeway) and have gotten my normal/expected mileage since.
Todd, I will pay you to go on and post that at the end of all the political threads….
….big dum dum here.
mmmm….big dum dums……drool….
this thread end here and now! Anyone posting after me is a big dum dum.
I would do it, but it would be all from “record LPs” some of you might remember those. It would be Surf, Garage, and Rock-a-billy, with a little Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and a sprinkle of 80’s new wave.
I couldnt handle the pressure of a wedding. Too many hurt feelings when someone comes to me and asks to play some Maria Carie and I dont have it.
Not sure what it is about EJ’s, but it’s always something. The food is alright, but never enough to make me want to go back. The service is awful and you feel like they couldnt’ care if you were there or not. I guess it’s because I have heard so many good things about it that I keep thinking “Next time will be great!!!” But it never is. Then I realize the great things I herad about EJ’s was years ago. Maybe I missed their heyday. Too bad. No interest in going back. For those of you talking up Stellar Pizza in G-Town, you speak my language. The White Orcas is killer.
Man.. I cannot believe people actually had “great” service at Stellar Pizza. I would say at least half of the times we go there, they forget something, give our pizza to another group, THAT CAME IN AND ORDERED AFTER US!, or have put us back in the family area and totally forgot about us.
The other half of the time, the service is “ok” at best. There are times when we have said “no way, not in the mood tonite to deal with them, even if they do have the best pizza in Seattle”
thank you so much!!!! i just sent him an email for prices!!!!
I hope it improves. It’s a great space and has all the potential to be a long term resident.
What was uncalled for here was NR’s immediate bashing of Obama….when it had nothing whatsoever to do with him in the first place.
Glad you are not trying to imply how NewResident feels about Hitler, since you would have absolutely no idea.
Completely uncalled for, villagegreen.
Maybe you oughta Google your own username followed by Hitler and see what happens.
What has happened to this forum?
im finally getting around to planning the big day…does anyone know of a good wedding dj? also looking for prices on catering, got the dresses, tuxes, place, date…now trying to put together the rest! thanks for the help! cheers!
Probably right, Franci. Mine is funny at the vet. He growls at them (which he never does at home), and yet he allows them to do whatever they want to him. With that low growl, you’d expect him to maul someone. :)
Randy “I feel your pain” .. I commented a while ago about my experience but I don’t think anyone thought I had a leg to stand on and I didn’t even really rip it up, I just said the service was slow with only 4 other couples in the restaurant.
The food was good. Good less grief equals great.
My whole point is that there are many great restaurants in town, and the dining experience for me is more than the food. True, without excellent food, why bother. Yet from the hype I was expecting a whole lot more, and received a whole lot less.
JimmyG – That’s funny.
It’s interesting, though, because when I put the quote in quotes (which I did first), it comes back with the results that include Obama.
When I don’t surround the quote with quotes, it doesn’t immediately come up with those results.
Jan –
I actually googled this last night…eventually using the actual words hitler used followed by Barack’s name…
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=he+alone+who+owns+the+youth+gains+the+future%2Cbarack+obama
It’s the 3rd result aka ‘Barack the Black Hitler’
Since I’m neither D nor R I guess google has a tough time stereotyping me?
lolol..JimmyG…guess that explains it, huh :)
I think maybe cats are like children, they behave differently (better) when not with their owners/parents. I was quite surprised when the vet told me that Jasper was really cooperative and sweet. I have not had that experience when attempting to bathe him at home.
I have a maine coon too, although I think he’d kill me if I ever tried to bathe him. As it is, we have to take him ever 2 months to Lien to spend $9 to have his nails cut. It’s cheaper than a transfusion for me. :)
I’ve considered taking him for grooming. Maybe he’d ever forgive me someday!
JT, that reminds me of a pizza place near my home in NYC – it was called Pizza Garden, and then they were sued by some other Pizza Garden chain, so they changed it to Pizza Jarden. Still makes me laugh thinking about it.
JanS has the Democrat version, and NewResident has the GOP version of Google.
Don’t you two know that Google knows everything about you, and only gives returns based upon your political leanings?
I have a couple of chairs that I am looking to have reupholstered. Does anyone have any local recommendations?
Thanks,
Michell
