Chiming in here for 2026, I’ve been a long time customer of Puget Sound Cleaners (206) 457-1954 and they have always done a great job. I have even recommended them to tenants and they do through cleanings on move outs too.

Are you starting a new compost pile or compost bin? Need to jumpstart your existing composting efforts? You need red wiggler worms (Eisenia fetida). They eat your kitchen scraps and yard waste creating rich soil as they do.

For only $10 you get more than enough worms including beneficial microorganisms and mushroom mycelium. The perfect mix. This is like getting a mature sourdough starter or kombucha SCOBY.

With so many options out there, I’m curious how people in this
community usually go about finding trustworthy local help for home
projects — word of mouth, online reviews, Nextdoor, this forum?

Would love to hear what’s worked (or not worked) for others. Feels
like it’s always a bit of a gamble picking someone new.

I have quite a bit of experience, dating back to high school caring for all sorts of pets and households. I have cared for any pet between high maintenance purebreds to low maintenance kitties who are just looking for someone to cuddle with overnight. I have been known to water plants, look out for mail/packages and take out trash/recycling. My typical rates start at $50/day and depend on factors such as number of pets and length of stay. Please reach out to me via text at 206-418-9099 or email at theapulido21@gmail.com!

Same-day service can be really helpful when you’re in a bind, but I’d also pay attention to quality rather than just turnaround time. Some garments are better off taking an extra day if they need special care. If you’re ever looking beyond local recommendations, it’s worth checking experienced dry cleaners toronto on that explain their cleaning process and offer same-day service only when it’s appropriate for the garment.

I’m sorry to be a complainer, but has anyone else observed how people, particularly during morning and evening rush hour, are treating the portion of SW Genesee between Delridge Way and Avalon as their personal racetrack? I’m not so lame that I would sit there with a radar gun to prove my point, but I have eyes and can judge speed as well as the next guy, and can tell the difference between 25mph and 45mph. This wouldn’t be too serious except the north side of the street is all residential, including the 30th Ave SW bus stops for the 50. I’ve had to dodge people who were both speeding and felt no obligation to stop for people getting off the bus, and have seen others having to do the same. There’s no protected crosswalk there(just the pedestrian ramps) and no real way to safely get across the street to access to depart the bus stops. Anyone else having this experience?

I’ve had multiple experiences on the bus similar to what Seriously? describes – and worse. On a crowded bus in West Seattle I even had some creep putting his paws on me. I protested – loudly – and he began to curse me out, including the “C” word. I asked the driver for help, and reluctantly, he made a mumbled general announcement “don’t bother other passengers”. The guy should have been put off the bus instead of being allowed to stay and potentially follow me home. Such behavior is far too easily dismissed, and too many women have paid the consequences.

My wife found a gold bracelet at 42nd and Holly. It’s actually just short of being legally gold but it’s a nice piece and we’d like to return it if we could find the owner.

If you think this is yours please send a description and/or picture to: Brandon.k.greenwood+lostbracelet@gmail.com

    Thanks,
