Topic: Dog Walker Job
I am a responsible 12 year old boy trying to make a few bucks during the summer! If you need a dog walker that is amazing with pets, i’m perfect for the job!
Hi fellow West Seattleites,
I’m searching for a walk partner (or two) for my mom who’ll be moving to West Seattle in August.
My mom is an active and spry 85-year old who can easily go on 2-3 mile walks at a healthy pace with the aid of a hiking pole. She’s also a pretty amiable and pleasant person to chat with. She’s in early stage Alzheimer’s and would benefit from being accompanied to prevent getting lost and to lend a hand in case of an emergency.
Ideally the walk partner would have a relatively flexible schedule and be able to take advantage of dry patches during otherwise wet days. A car would be helpful to drive between our neighborhood in Seaview and her favorite walks at Lincoln Park/Lowman Beach and Alki.
This is primarily a volunteer role, but a small weekly or monthly stipend can be provided based on number of walks per week and time spent per walk.
Reach out to cnaito@gmail.com if interested, thanks!

Rant to the driver & passenger in an older red pickup truck with plastic on passenger side window that spewed lumber all over road at Palm Ave SW & California S W. We yelled at you to stop before someone got hurt. Traffic was stopped as people came to help to put lumber on parking. Police were called, however you were long gone. We understand you came back and picked it up. You could have injured or killed someone. We hope you see this and stop your illegal and dangerous action. Secure your load. It is the law.

Hi friends, me and my partner just moved to West Seattle right in the junction and we need some help finding a walking route to the water.
Walking down Jacobsen seems like an obvious choice, but it’s not the most pedestrian friendly street. Is this a good option? Would yall recommend?
We also tried to walk down from the top of Me-Kwa-Mooks park, but that didn’t work. Some maps depict a trail entering the top of the park at 55th, but it seems like it’s just someone’s back yard there. Is it actually possible to enter the park from the top?
Thanks for your help, would love to hear suggestions!

They would like to commute by car and pick up the West Seattle student on their way. Metro timing is not practical.

Topic: Speeding cars on SW Genesse
I’m sorry to be a complainer, but has anyone else observed how people, particularly during morning and evening rush hour, are treating the portion of SW Genesee between Delridge Way and Avalon as their personal racetrack? I’m not so lame that I would sit there with a radar gun to prove my point, but I have eyes and can judge speed as well as the next guy, and can tell the difference between 25mph and 45mph. This wouldn’t be too serious except the north side of the street is all residential, including the 30th Ave SW bus stops for the 50. I’ve had to dodge people who were both speeding and felt no obligation to stop for people getting off the bus, and have seen others having to do the same. There’s no protected crosswalk there(just the pedestrian ramps) and no real way to safely get across the street to access to depart the bus stops. Anyone else having this experience?
I have a start-up company and would like tax assistance and guidance (CPA), I have QuickBooks Online and need to get my books in order (bookkeeper) and help to pay myself a salary (payroll). My preference would be to do this under one roof if possible.
Please contact me at (206) 294-8633 or pete.johnson@suspension-systems.com.
Thank You

Free moving boxes! 15-20 Uhaul & Chewy boxes (take any or all) Still in good sturdy shape, would be a shame to recycle them just yet. Near Alaska Junction.
I found a Bluetooth speaker at Lowmanbeach this morning. I initially left it where it was, but after it started pouring rain I went back and picked it up so it wouldn’t get damaged.
If it’s yours, please send me a message describing the brand, color, and any identifying details so I can make sure it goes back to the right person.I am looking for a recommendation for a dependable licensed contractor to teardown and rebuild a wooden 6′ fence.
