Planning a 1st birthday is exciting, but the entertainment quotes around West Seattle can definitely add up fast. A good option to check out is Wowzers. They’re a local Seattle-based party entertainment company that offers face painting along with other kids’ party services, and their rates are generally more reasonable compared to some of the premium event vendors in the area.

What stands out is that they’re used to working birthday parties specifically (not just big corporate events), so they can usually tailor the time and package to fit a smaller gathering. For a first birthday, simple, colorful designs for toddlers and older siblings tend to be perfect and quicker, which helps keep costs down while still giving kids something fun and memorable.

It may be worth reaching out to see if they have availability for October 21 and asking about a 2-hour setup for a backyard-style party in West Seattle. Sometimes booking directly and explaining the size of the party can help get a more budget-friendly option.

Hello West Seattle pals, I am looking for a studio space in West Seattle to have my jewelry studio/classroom and I’m hoping that someone here might have their fingers on a space that may work. Perhaps you’re a small business who would like to sublease your space, or you’re moving out soon and you’re space is really great, or perhaps you’re an agent who knows the WS buzz.
    HOPES:
    – 500-1000sq ft
    – natural light
    – sink
    – 1-3 year lease terms
    – <$2,000 per month total

Not required but would be a plus

    – private restroom
    – store front potential

The space does not need to have a storefront but I would make good use if it was available.
I’d like at least 500-750 sqft and hoping for lots of light, a sink and perhaps a private restroom. 1-3 year lease to begin. I hope to teach small classes, have a small showroom where I can meet clients and share my custom work as well as my bench where I’ll create my jewelry.

Do you know of any spaces here in West Seattle that might fit the bill? I’m also willing to go to Georgetown/Sodo and the surrounding areas. But West Seattle is preferred.

Spaces in the Junction (like Click!/Seattle E-Bike) are far too big and out of budget, and the units at the ActiveSpace are a little too small.

I don’t really have an answer for you, but I would recommend that you take some pics, or draw a floor plan of what’s existing, and post it with your question on Threads or Reddit. That’s one of my favorite types of posts, folks will use AI to draw your bathroom, with credible options, or leave very funny answers that are just pure entertainment. Back to your question, it depends on where the plumbing and doors/windows are.

Welcome to the real world. Vast majority of scooter riders DO NOT CARE where and how they ride-or park the scooter when they’re done. They’re aided and abetted by the city. Rest assured the city DOES NOT CARE where and how they ride or where they park them. And rest assured the scooter companies do not care either where and how they’re ridden or where they’re parked.

I hope a seagull pooped on you during your ride.

Found these keys on the concrete Safe Street barriers at Alki Ave SW and 64th PL SW this morning, Feb 6. Somewhat stuck together, might be old enough that someone has replaced them, but they won’t have to worry that they were stolen. I have taken them home, can return if someone can identify them.

There are donation bins that are clearly marked shoes and clothing but weekly, people use these as a transfer station. Please stop. I have tried to work with the charity, property owner, and the city over several years with no results. People never cease to amaze me with their ignorance or laziness or frugality. There are signs on these bins that say no dumping. People who leave their junk are illegally dumping on private property. It leaves the area looking like crap and the property owner has to get rid of the junk at their own expense. I would include a photo but I don’t know how to do that or if it’s allowed.

    Hi all,
Just wanted to let everyone know that three employees of O’Neill Plumbing were sprayed with bear mace when two men attempted to steal tools out of the back of their trucks. When the men were confronted, they drove away at first, made a U turn, came back and assaulted the three employees. they sprayed the three employees directly in the face with Bear Mace and made threats against the employee’s lives stating, “We will come back and kill you!” the 2 men were driving a light gold Toyota Camry LE 4-door early 200’s model, regular wheels and non-tinted windows. a light skinned heavy set male was driving the car and a darker skinned heavy-set male was taking tools and equipment out of the O’Neill truck. The car had Missouri plates that were covered with a fake paper license plate. Police are looking for them so if you see a car fitting this description, please call police.

tradesmen, please take precautions while at job sites, these guys used a Sawzall to hack the pad lock on the back of the truck.
