Hi friends, me and my partner just moved to West Seattle right in the junction and we need some help finding a walking route to the water.

Walking down Jacobsen seems like an obvious choice, but it’s not the most pedestrian friendly street. Is this a good option? Would yall recommend?

We also tried to walk down from the top of Me-Kwa-Mooks park, but that didn’t work. Some maps depict a trail entering the top of the park at 55th, but it seems like it’s just someone’s back yard there. Is it actually possible to enter the park from the top?

Thanks for your help, would love to hear suggestions!

This may not be the shortest, but it’s my favorite way. There is a steep hill, but also nice views. Coming back east will give you a good cardio workout too.
    Walk west on Alaska.
    Veer right onto Glenn Way.
    Veer left onto Genessee.
    Turn right on 55th.
Veer left onto Orleans, which turns into Hillcrest, then 58th.
    Turn left onto Spokane.
Option 1: Continue on Spokane and take the stairs down, you’ll hit the water at Constellation Park.
Option 2: Turn right on 61st, you’ll hit the water at the Statue of Liberty.
