No, not a requirement. However, it’s a sign of the “me first” mentality and the “I’m special, you’re not” mentality that’s invaded people’s brains. Name a traffic violation and you’ll see it violated daily men and women of ALL ages driving every vehicle under the sun. It’s common for me, and other drivers to wait at a green light because “special” pedestrians felt entitled to ignore the do not walk signal. I see bike riders violate traffic laws that are on the books covering bike riders. Will anything change? NOPE. Why? Because the people ignoring the law are certain they’re entitled to do so and ALL the close calls/accidents are caused by “those other bad people” certainly not the finger pointers.

Seen it happen three times, all in a short period of time.

First time a car slowed down at an intersection as the light changed from yellow to red. The car behind it crossed the double yellow line into the oncoming lane and gunned it to pass and blow through the red light!

Second time the car at the front of the intersection wouldn’t go when the light turned green. Just sat there for 10 seconds until a car in the intersecting lane ran the red light. It was just going regular speed too, wasn’t gunning it to beat the light or anything. It was like the first car knew this was going to happen.

Third time the car was also going at normal speed. Light turned red, driver wasn’t anywhere close to the intersection but didn’t even attempt to slow down. Just casually crossed the intersection like it was still green.

Hello. I am interested in your position for either a dog walker or cat sitter, as I have had experience in both areas, especially as a 20+ year cat owner. I enjoy cats and do not mind the clean up process. I am careful with dogs to always keep them on a leash and be aware of any aggressive dogs we might meet on a walk.
I live in the West Seattle Junction and can easily get to other neighborhoods via bus or walking. I am honest, dependable, conscientious in follow through of instructions, and personable with clientele. I also would have no trouble passing a background check. The hours you mentioned of 10 am to 2 pm are workable for me, I can also do overnight pet care, if that is occasionally needed.

Hi, there were no shootings nor even suspected “shots fired” calls logged around that time anywhere in WS Two possible-gunfire calls hours earlier further north but police didn’t find anything (to confirm a shooting, there has to be either an injured person, damaged property, found shell casings, or someone actually seeing a gun being fired). Did you hear or see something? If so, do you have the police-report number? – TR

This Estate sale features many high-quality drinking cups-mugs and accessories, antiques, Venetian masks, fencing gear, Kerosene Lamps, musical instruments, interesting knives and bayonets, swords, straw hats, etc. etc. etc. that have been collected over a period of 50 years.

All items up for sale are listed, with pictures and prices, on my “selling-stuff” website: http://www.reputableman.com

If inclined, use this website to pick out items that appeal to you before you come over.

In any case, here are some items of special interest:

As it happens, due to my long-time enjoyment of European and Japanese fencing (Kendo), there is a large collection of knives, bayonets, swords and fencing gear available for purchase. Some of these items are authentic original pieces. Others are nicely made replicas.

The fencing gear includes foils, epees, sabers and both European and Japanese protective items. The Japanese kendo hand and head “armor” are genuine antique collector’s items.

Among the above mentioned politically incorrect items are two crossbows. A small modern one … and … a large medieval replica made of wood and sinew. Bolts-arrows are available for both crossbows.

For the preppers and adventurers, we have a never used four burner propane stove and a really nice (and hard-to-find) two-burner unleaded-gas burning Coleman camp stove.

And, last-but-not-least, for old tool enthusiasts, we have an antique two-man saw, an ancient blacksmith-made cedar shingle splitting froe … and … limbing hatchets and axe heads galore.

The Pre-Death and Once-in-a-Lifetime Estate Sale, will happen this coming Saturday and Sunday (June 7 & 8) from 2 PM until 5 PM.

The location is given below (which is in West Seattle, very close to Chief Sealth High School

    Hello Mark,

You’re absolutely right to seek experienced professionals for this type of work – proper trim, drip-edge, and siding replacement requires both technical skill and an eye for detail to maintain your home’s weather protection and aesthetic appeal.

we specialize in precisely this kind of meticulous exterior work. Our team has extensive experience with:

    Precise window/door trim replacement

    Drip-edge repair and installation

    Window sill restoration

Cedar shingle siding matching and replacement

We understand how important it is to match existing materials and maintain proper water drainage, especially with older homes where the trim and siding work together as a system.

Since you mentioned some of the work is technical, we’d be happy to provide a free, no-obligation assessment. We serve Colorado and can ensure the job is done right with quality materials and craftsmanship.
You can reach us through our website: Siding replacement

What does one have to do with the other? It’s not as if there were a choice between a day shelter and a dog park and the dog park won. A lot of people advocated for a dog park. I’m sure not nearly as many are advocating for day shelters, and quite possibly for good reason. Build it, and they will come. There aren’t many neighborhoods that want to actively add to the number of addicted and mentally ill people on the streets where they live. If you do, start a petition and lobby public officials as the dog group did. And be sure to let them know that you want it to be located next door to you.
