I have never eaten there BUT I have had the asian style mock meats in restaurants before – they are surprisingly true to their meaty counterparts! I had a general tsao’s chicken once that I really had to inspect closely to assure myself that I wasn’t eating chicken flesh. I think the veggie meats are mostly made of wheat gluten (like seitan, if you’ve had that)or possibly soy and then they just flavor them by cooking them in different broths. We were at Uwajimaya today and they had all kinds of vegetarian meats – even vegetarian kidney! Weird!
