That’s a really valid concern to point out. Because even though the presence is heavy, the commute time has extended much longer into the evening than it use to. Now, this is subjective observation after a number of weeks now on the AMOUNT of cars as well as the late hours heavy traffic is still coursing up HP Way and down Holden, in particular. It certainly was not typical for that volume of cars to come up the hill that late.

It goes without saying I think SPD is doing a stellar job of patrolling, but the late hours maybe overlooked? I haven’t seen the patrols around that late. But the cars are speeding and not allowing proper distance. On a narrow street with foot traffic, such as Holden, that is SO not an acceptable situation.

Perhaps there is some kind of email contact to address this datamuse? Just to give them a heads up in case they don’t have a strategy laid out for this particular time period? Or call the non-emergency number? Kind of hard to pinpoint where to give a nudge, as no groups meet this month and they are normally where I kvetch about such things.

Anyway, really good thing for folks to be aware – that even into the 8:00 PM hour, traffic is still pouring into HP and tailgaters, speed-demons or inattentive drivers are still on their way home.
