I happen to live on a street (like most of us probably do) where only one car, one direction can actually travel because of cars parked on both sides. So while your point is valid KBear, there is never, ever an instance where two moving cars pass(on my street). Slipping into my current spot (facing the wrong direction)does not impact anyone. I will readily admit that you do need to be careful when pulling back IN to traffic as it is obviously not as easy to see oncoming traffic as you pull out. That said, not one issue on 8 years. I get it though.
Sadly, we have no driveway either, otherwise that would be the obvious choice…..
