in not one state do teachers make less than the median income. In fact in every state, every single one, they make at least 15% more than the average citizen at a minimum… BEFORE benefits which are about 40% of their compensation package. . You keep forgetting the benefits packages Ah,,, and the 9 month work year…. tell ya what JoB… allow Charter Schools that can give merit pay, leave hiring and firing up to the administrators, terminate perpetual mediocrity aka tenure… and we have something to talk about. That would be a first go round of correction. You are the one who defines “bucks” as growth…. you just stated we need to pay more…you are measuring the the worth of your fellows by how much of their “bucks” you think you are entitled to. One more time… just take a peek… how much income does the US economy produce? How big is the deficit? How many decades of total US income is that? How are you going to solve it…..? Fellow citizen?
