If you are pinching pennies, then try the frozen crab cakes available at Winco down in Kent. They come vacuum sealed in a package of six. Can’t remember the price, but they were a very good value.

.

Stepping up a notch or two, the QFC crab cakes (made with Rock crab) run around $2.50 or so. Again, not bad for the money. I have had them for breakfast a few times. Not sure why, but they do seem to pair well with a good cup of coffee. Crab cakes and scrambled eggs – yumm!

.

Thriftway is at the top of my list at the moment. Large cakes made with real Dungeness crab! Typically selling for about $3.50 each.

.

I have yet to try the Seattle Fish crab cakes – thanks Keith.

Lastly, Safeway carries their own slightly spicy crab dip / sauce, which I find great on just about any fish entree. Normal price is around $4 for an 7oz tub, and frequently is on sale for $3.50.
