Preventable medical harm is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. Learn how to protect yourself and your loved ones from unintentional medical harm at a hospital, doctor’s office, or outpatient clinic through better communications with healthcare providers. Patients and families will learn how to make smart choices when talking with their medical team and protect from preventable medical harm; they will learn about the importance of “Speaking Up” and practice using role-play.
