Potterings, a local West Seattle pottery studio, is thrilled to announce its participation in the annual Game of Shrooms, an international art-and-seek event. On Saturday, June 14, 2025, fifteen unique, handcrafted pottery mushrooms created by Potterings will be hidden throughout West Seattle for the public to find and keep.
The Game of Shrooms, founded by artist Daniel “Attaboy” Seifert, invites artists worldwide to create and conceal mushroom-themed artwork in public spaces, transforming communities into vibrant scavenger hunts. Potterings is excited to bring this whimsical experience to West Seattle residents and visitors.
“We are delighted to be a part of Game of Shrooms this year,” says Potterings owner Lora Radford. “It’s a fantastic way to connect with our community, spread a little joy, and share our love for pottery. We’ve poured a lot of heart into creating these mushrooms, and we can’t wait for them to find their new homes.”
Clues to the hidden pottery mushrooms will be released throughout the day on June 14th via the Potterings Game of Shrooms webpage. Participants are encouraged to follow this resource for hints:
This event offers a unique opportunity for individuals and families to explore West Seattle, discover local art, and experience the thrill of a real-life treasure hunt. Finders are encouraged to limit themselves to one piece per family to ensure more community members have a chance to participate.
