The keyboard music of J.S. Bach will be featured in this gala festival showcasing organist Dana Robinson in his first public performance in Seattle, as well as pianist Jane Harty. Three instruments will be used: a Noack tracker-action gallery organ, a Noack chapel organ, and a Yamaha grand piano—all instruments that the master would have loved. The concert takes place in the beautiful cathedral setting of First Lutheran of West Seattle, known for its splendid acoustics and stunning stained glass.About Dana Robinson, organ
About Jane Harty, piano
Jane Harty is an active and diverse recitalist of solo and chamber music repertoire, and has appeared in recitals throughout the United States as both a pianist and harpsichordist. Her teachers have included Blanche Bascourret de Gueraldi, a student of Cortot; and Johanna Graudan, a student of Schnabel. She was also a participant in the classes of Nadia Boulanger.
About Lin Marcelais, violin
A graduate of Abilene Christian University and the University of Texas at Austin, Violinist Lin Marcelais was a member of the Austin Symphony Orchestra, 2nd violin principal of the Abilene Philharmonic, concertmaster of the Abilene Collegiate Symphony Orchestra and also played with San Angelo, Big Spring, Laredo, Northwest Symphony Orchestra, Tacoma Symphony Orchestra and Ballet Austin. She won first place in the Texas Music Teachers’ Association Post-12th Grade Orchestral Concerto Contest in Dallas, TX. Having moved to Seattle, she now plays with the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra.
