“A Child of Color Reflecting on West Seattle History”
Thursday, Feb. 16, 1-2:30 pm

As a child of color, Carol-Ann Sharp Thornton has journeyed through 60+ years of West Seattle history. She will discuss and share the challenges, barriers, racism, acceptance and victories that have embraced her family through the years. She will speak on privilege and entitlement, as well as offer avenues for healing and restoration for us all. What Carol-Ann will bring to the table is for all people and cultures globally — not just black and white, not just for Black History Month and not just for the West Seattle community. She will offer tools and options to positively move forward in our pursuit of equality, inclusion, diversity, healing, forgiveness and acceptance for everyone.
