WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Early-morning gunfire

Shortly after we received two mid-morning inquiries about possible gunfire the texters heard around 4:15 this morning, police were dispatched to 29th SW and SW Cloverdale around 11 am after someone found casings. We’ve listened to the archived police-radio audio from the original call, and police found casings in that area shortly after the 4:15 am 911 calls, too. No report of injuries, and no description of who fired the shots – the only thing mentioned in the original dispatch was that some callers heard “tires screeching” immediately afterward.

Many times witnesses don’t get a good look at those firing off guns, why? Because they are busy ducking for cover and trying not to get shot.

Perhaps the occupant of the Fleetwood Wilderness Camper trailer parked nearby along the edge of the Seattle School property on 29th Ave SW could shed some light on the occurrence of gunfire.

I’ve called in that RV a couple times over the past month and did see the city come out on Thursday, thought they would have them move but nothing has happened since… Pretty crazy they are not as concerned being so close to Sealth and Denny…. Same RV was parked on Trenton before the city had them move and then they will be over at Roxhill Park next..

Is that an older trailer, with some green trim or window awning, that is pulled by a black pick-up? And truck frequently has the hood up for battery connection?

Several times in the past few weeks I’ve heard people burning out for a while in roughly the same area — usually a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night. This is a least the 5 time in the past month. This was the first time I’ve heard gun shots — I assume it’s people doing donuts and fitting out the car window. I hope people will call 911 if they hear the tires again.

Everything has not went perfect in the last few years, it’s been tough. But I would rather put my hard earned money with Bruce Harrell than take a chance on a person with zero experience and no previous training. This not a job for the “pie in the sky” new comer. Especially with ZERO experience.
