FIRST NUMBERS SINCE SATURDAY: The daily summary from Seattle-King County Public Health wasn’t updated Sunday or Monday, so these are the cumulative totals reflecting three days:

*108,689 people have tested positive, 381 new since Saturday

*1,575 people have died, unchanged since Saturday

*6,111 people have been hospitalized, 12 new since Saturday

One week ago, the totals were 107,498/1,562/6,064. (The “number of people tested” number is not complete tonight, so we’ve omitted that.)

    Big slowdown from the previous week.  Last week was 6100 new cases, 18 deaths and 90 hospitalizations, 1200 new cases, 13 deaths and 48 hospitalizations.  Hopefully the trend keeps up, but I expect another uptick with the mask mandate dropping albeit now as much as the previous week.

      I don’t think that’s possible. That would mean there was an average of 870~ people diagnosed per day. Maybe in the state, yes but not in King County. So unless you also want to post the current 7 day gains for the state as a whole (assuming that’s where you’re getting your numbers) that # you’re referencing has no direct comparison to any other numbers on this page.
