WEST SEATTLE ART: Desmond Hansen’s newest signal-box mural

Thanks to Dan Kearney for the photo. West Seattle artist Desmond Hansen painted that signal box at 35th/Henderson, just north of Southwest Library, this weekend. He wrote on Instagram that the box is dedicated “to children living with disabilities and special needs” – read his full explanation here.

I just saw a new one at Graham and 35th…at least newer that I had missed. Appears to be Eddie Vedder.  I wasn’t able to focus on it as I noticed it too late. Love what he is doing for our neighborhoods!

Saw this piece yesterday and wondered if it was his work. Ride my bike past earlier this afternoon and saw him doing the finishing touches.  Beautiful contribution to our cityscape.
