OTHER BUSINESSES: Let us know what you’re doing, too

Though we’ve spent much of this day assembling a list of West Seattle food/beverage businesses that are shifting to all-takeout/delivery per the new health orders, we’re being asked about other types of businesses too – so let us know how yours is (or isn’t) operating right now, and whether – even if you’re not open – there’s anything customers can still do (online shopping, gift cards, advance appointments) – westseattleblog@gmail.com or text/voice 206-203-6302 – thank you!

Have any of West Seattle’s 24-hour supermarkets changed their open hours?

Sometimes a story that we’ve updated many times loses the comment function, and there’s nothing we can do about it. I was afraid that might happen … Thanks for the heads-up.

I received an email from the Lien Animal Clinic tonight stating they will be open for business to take care of your pets. They are asking if you are presenting symptoms of being sick to call ahead of time to make arrangements. Thanks Lien AC

Admiral Safeway has slightly reduced its hours so it now opens at 5 A.M. and closes at 1:00 A.M. (one hour after midnight).

This isn’t a supermarket (well, it is for pets), but MudBay hours are now 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

My dentist contacted me.  If I don’t get in tomorrow then I won’t get in for at least 3 weeks.  Braces.

In person, but still taking orders. Bookstores are the next category we’re updating. I’m trying today to group types of businesses after a few one-offs.

Piroshky Piroshky in South Park (at cloverdale business park) (www.piroshkybakery.com) has started a delivery service for ordering food with both delivery and pick up from cloverdale kitchen. A great option for deliciousness and staying safe for those of us in west Seattle.

This news made my day!  Love Piroshky Piroshky and will fit them into my restaurant support plans!

Seattle Yarn is closed for normal business, but they are doing phone/online orders, with pickup at the shop or some delivery within West Seattle. With all this time away from other activities, it’s a great time for knitting, crochet, embroidery, etc.! The shop is an asset to the community and I hope people will help keep them going through this hard time. Details on their website:https://seattle-yarn-llc.square.site/covid-19

This has had a big impact on those with pet sitting/dog walking businesses as we have heard.    We are wondering what they are doing, or maybe other things they can do to help their clients or others.

Just went to Lien this morning. They’re meeting folks out in the parking lot with paperwork, etc instead of having you go in.  Even took my payment by phone.  Looks like a pretty good and well-thought-out system to me.  Their website is updated with current hours, precautions, and some limitations on services.

Dental offices have been asked to close for the next 3-4 weeks. If you are having a true dental emergency please contact your dentist, however. We don’t want people filling ERs with dental issues.

Sorry, comment time is over.
