THE WEST SEATTLE TURKEY: More feathered friends

We’ll admit we were getting a little worried after a stretch without a West Seattle Turkey sighting report. And then Lauren Bissett sent this photo, explaining: “If anyone’s been missing the West Seattle Turkey, he/she’s been spending a few days off and on in my backyard, hanging out with my chickens and ducks! We’re near 40th and Hanford.” It’s been four months now since The Turkey turned up in West Seattle.

Awesome………  I’m sure he/she has found your duck/chicken food yummy and will continue to stick around your flock.

I would have sent pictures last week, as I saw him 3 times but my pictures were the same standard pictures. I love the picture in this post. I was getting worried he wasn’t seeing enough feathered friends.  I think I hear your ducks when I am out walking the dogs.  Last week, I think the turkey stayed in my neighbors backyard. I saw him come out the next morning when walking the dogs.

Admiral is looking good!  Great he has found some friends to hang with.funny how something so simple as a beautiful turkey can bring joy to a community,  so much frustration at times, but just seeing him and monitoring his local travels bring smiles to many.

      I agree with you 100%

He hangs out a lot on 39th….had to to slam on the brakes yesterday evening as he strolled out in the street as I was driving towards Hanford.  Go slow peeps, as he seems to think the world (or the street at least) is his oyster.

Lauren,You should unofficially adopt him so he can be safe through the winter…he would love being around your feathered friends.  We worry that somebody will get bored around Thanksgiving and hunt him.

Who exactly is he strutting for?  Is he looking for an interspecies relationship?  Maybe he’s just excited and confused by all the options…

LOL!!! I think he’s strutting for that red head… I know I love my red headed hubby!

Turkey sighting this evening circa 630pm at SW Stevens and Fairmount. I also saw our friend at that same corner about 2 weeks earlier, about the same time of day.

Sorry, comment time is over.
